Outline of the exhibition Chinkin, which engraves patterns on the base of lacquer and rubs gold leaf, gold powder, etc., is one of the traditional decoration techniques of lacquer crafts. Aiko Ishimoto, a lacquer artist, has established a new method called the colorful Fushissai metal sinking technique, utilizing the traditional technique of sinking.
In this exhibition, we will exhibit panel works, objects, vessels, etc. that express scenes such as the Japan Alps using the technique of lacquer painting, as well as videos containing production tools and processes.
