Group use

Commentary will be available on a first-come, first-served basis under the conditions 1-6 below.

●Please be sure to check the following contents before applying.
●The commentary volunteer staff of our museum will respond.
●Commentary is for high school students and above.

●Please check the following 1-6, and if you are a group that meets the conditions, please apply from the following.
●We will refuse to accept applications that do not meet the conditions.

1. Number of people who can respond

●Visiting groups of "10 or more and 40 people including guidance" are eligible.
＊For overseas visitors, up to 20 people are eligible, and one interpreter is required per 10 people.
＊Groups of less than 10 people and groups of more than 40 people are not eligible, so please visit free to visit us.

2. Response and time frame

●This is a commentary on the "Permanent Exhibition".

●There are two types, "Normal 90 minutes commentary" and "Shortened version 60 minutes commentary".

90 minutes Commentary: Morning / 10: 00-11: 30 pm / 13: 30-15: 00
60-minute commentary: Morning / 10: 00-11: 00 or 10: 30-11: 30 pm / 13: 30-14: 30 and 14: 00-15: 00

3. Correspond day

●Only "Wednesday" and "Thursday" will be available. (Excluding holidays)
＊2024/5/1, 5/2, 8/14, 8/15, 12/25, 12/26, 2025/1/8, and 1/9 are not available.

4. Commentary fee

●Apart from the admission fee, a commentary fee of "1,000 yen (tax included) per staff member" will be charged.

●The maximum response limit for one staff member is limited to 20 people, and up to 2 staff members can respond at once.
Example 1: a group of 15 people
Since it is less than 20 people, one commentary staff member (commentation fee 1,000 yen required)
Example 2: a group of 23 people
Since there are more than 20 people, 2 commentary staff members are available (2,000 yen commentary fee is required)

5. Application deadline

●Please apply by "until the 1st of the month before the visit date".
Example 1: If your visit date is 9/1, please apply by 8/1.
Example 2: If your visit date is 10/22, please apply by 9/1.

6. Response language

●It's "Japanese only."
＊If you are an overseas visitor, please be sure to arrange an interpreter with the upper limit of 10 people.
＊"If you have more than 11 people, 2 interpreters are required (up to 20 people)."

●Please apply at least 10 days before your visit. We will send you a notice of completion within one week of your application.
●Please apply for groups of 40 or more from here.
●In the hall, you can listen to the permanent exhibition guide on your smartphone, so please use it. (For details, click here ➡︎)
In addition, <Explanation by curators ♯1-7 ➡︎> is also available on the the museum channel on YouTube. Make use of it for pre-learning.

●It is intended for those who are involved in the operation of cultural facilities such as museums, administrative relations in Japan and overseas, tourist associations and DMOs.

●We may not be able to accept your request due to the circumstances of the museum.

●In the case of a preview visit for both general and school groups, "Admission fee for up to 4 people" will be charged.
●It is a free tour with no support.
●Please inform the reception at the time of your visit that it is a preview visit. In that case, the admission fee will be free after filling out the form.
