Outline of the exhibition

A variety of townspeople who enjoy the world of historical drama and rakugo. One of the most familiar craftsmen is carpenters. As represented by rakugo Kuma-san Yatsukan, he was a little bitchy, causing a turmoil and full of humanity. People used to call them "Carpenters" with familiarity. In this exhibition, we focus on the image of craftsmen from Edo to Meiji Taisho, where such carpenters were active. We will introduce the unique world that craftsmen have built up through everyday life such as clothing, food, shelter, and work at work. In addition, the original rakugo (small story: Kobanashi) produced by the museum will be remaked and screened in the venue.
