Chiyozuruzehide
(Chiyozurukohi)

His real name, Hiroshi Kato. Born in 1874. His father is Tsunatoshi Nagaunsai, a swordsmith who served the Uesugi family of the Yonezawa clan. Entered his uncle Toshinaga Ishido at the age of 11, who turned from swordsmithing to tool blacksmithing in 1876 due to the abolition sword decree. He carefully researches the skills of his predecessors, and combines the cultural elements of the prestigious swordsmith family to create a number of masterpieces. He died in 1957 at the age of 84.

 Contents of the exhibition

Chiyozuruzehide, a master craftsman who sublimated carpentry tools into the area of art. What was the life of the blacksmith, which wrote in his later years, "Well, 70 years living with iron?" In this exhibition, about 60 pieces of the highest peak works collected from tool holders nationwide, including Chiyozuruzehide's masterpiece, "Tenke", which will be unveiled for the first time in history, will be exhibited in one hall. From the training era, after a period of hardship, such as the disappearance of his successor, Taro, the life of Korehide, which blooms after the war, will be traced along with related materials such as works representing each era and poems written. In addition, Kunihiro and Yoshihiro, who respected Korehide as a genius blacksmith, his master swordsmith, Toshinaga Ishido, his rivals, Shuichi Ishido, his eldest son, Taro, and blacksmiths who succeeded him. Explain the style of Korehide in multiple layers. We also spotlighted exchanges with a variety of cultural figures, such as tools by sculptor Fumio Asakura and grafted swords by Dr. Sakura and Shintaro Sasabe, known as a model of Tsutomu Mizukami's "Sakuramori", and explore the world where supreme tools came out.
