Information on relocation and renewal of Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum

Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum (Director: Kenzo Akao, Location: 4-18-25 Nakayamate-dori, Chuo-ku, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture) is a Sanyo Shinkansen line. We moved near Shin-Kobe Station and decided to reopen in October 2014. As a result, the museum will close its current facility on May 18 of the same year and will be closed until its reopening.
Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum opened in 1984 as a museum on the theme of carpentry tools, and has been popular with many people for about 30 years through activities such as Permanent exhibition Exhibitions, Lectures and Business Trip Classes.
With this relocation, the museum will eliminate the aging of the existing facilities, expand the exhibition space, and establish a new workshop. At the same time, the exhibition and event contents will be renewed, and a new step will be taken as a museum that matches the times that can be enjoyed by people of a wider range of ages.
Please look forward to the newly reborn Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum.
