Overview

Craftsmen demonstrate the handmade appearance of tatami mats that are rarely seen in front of them. You can experience traditional techniques up close, from how to use materials and tools, to finishing techniques. At the experience corner, you can also experience actually laying tatami using a tatami puzzle. You can enjoy learning the wisdom and ingenuity of craftsmen in how to lay tatami mats. Anyone, from children to adults, can participate casually.
