From the Meiji era to the Showa era, plane-mounting craftsmen refined their skills and supported the craftsmanship of craftsmen. In recent years, with the decrease in the number of specialized craftsmen, users have entered the era of making their own plane stand. In this round-table discussion, we will talk about the past and future of making planes from the standpoint of one of the few "makers", "tool shops" handling planes, and "users" processing trees.
*This round-table discussion is a related event of the "Making a plane stand" exhibition.
