Overview

With Yuichi Hamada at the venue, we will explore the secrets of masterpiece chair design with specific ways to make it, such as episodes when visiting Hans J. Wegner's home in Denmark, and knowledge acquired during the miniature chair production process.

Yuichi Hamada (Yoshikazu)
Furniture craftsman of Hamada Kobo.
Born in 1952. Born in Osaka Prefecture. After graduating from high school, he worked for a furniture manufacturer that handles custom-made items from Japanese furniture to Western furniture. After that, at a design office that develops chairs for employment, he made a 1/5 model at the time of presentation, and started making miniatures. Established Hamada Kobo in 1985. In addition to making furniture in general, he continues to make 1/5 masterpiece chairs of about 300 legs to date. Currently living in Yonehara City, Shiga Prefecture.
