On the day of the event, the weather was unstable, such as falling down from the morning and the sun, and the number of visitors was threatened, but when I opened the lid, nearly 120 people came and it was a great success.

The commentary was given by Akiyoshi Nishimura of Mizusawa Corporation. The venue was exclamation from the venue for accurate commentary based on many years of experience. We will be able to perform at the symposium on September 7th.

First, demonstration of log processing. It looks like a log is inked using a vermilion pot.

Next, the processing of logs. It is a technique of "lighting" that matches the curved surface shape. The shape of the curved surface is copied with a tool called Kuchibiki.

Change the location and attach the log (Chona is hanging). I was able to see the powerful skills up close.

The tea room has a unique "ground window". Participants experienced the work of wrapping a vine around the lattice material. Uses chocolate vine vines that have been soaked in water and softened. Everyone was curious about the materials unique to Sukiya, which uses natural materials.

Next is the experience of knitting Ajiro used for ceilings and fittings. There was a commentary on the hegi board (divid board) and how to knit, which are used as materials from Nishimura ridge.

We will assemble the basic weaving of arrow feathers. It's a very difficult task.

I think that the participants were very impressed with the demonstrations and experiences unique to Sukiya carpenter. Thank you very much to everyone at Mizusawa Corporation for their cooperation.

Similar demonstrations and hands-on events are scheduled to be held at Kobe (October 6) and Nagoya (November 23). For more information, please visit the following website.
