Commemorative Lecture “Owari Mikawa Carpenter Building”

A lecture was held to commemorate the holding of the traveling exhibition "Minyo-The World of Domiya Carpenter-" Nagoya venue, to talk about the carpenter ridge of Owari Mikawa, the current Aichi Prefecture.

The venue for this event is Hall A of the Industrial Technology Memorial Hall.
The performance started at 13:30 pm and the number of visitors was 123.

This is Mr. Kazuyoshi Fumoto, a lecturer.
Currently a professor at the Graduate School of Nagoya Institute of Technology, specializing in the preservation and restoration of Japanese architectural history and cultural properties.
Dr. Foot was very helpful at the tour held on Saturday, December 11 the day before.

This is the lecture.
Based on the literature and munefuda materials, we talked about the activities of the carpenters who belonged to the Tokugawa shogunate and the Owari clan, while also the carpenters who were active in the town.
At the end, the lecture was concluded with the story of Yangjuso Akimatsukaku, which was also visited at the previous Himi Society.

After the lecture, many people were asked questions surrounding Dr. Kazuyoshi Fumoto. Despite being tired at the lecture following the previous day's tour, it was impressive to see them respond carefully.
