What is inherited over the times

Domiya carpenter ridge, Tsunekazu Nishioka (provided by Rigikosha)

Domiya's carpenter ridge, which unites a group of craftsmen with trained skills and hearts and builds temples and shrines that withstand hundreds of years of wind and snow.

The appearance of inheriting the millennium tradition and convictioning difficult tasks while organizing the organization is attractive to us living in a volatile modern society.

In this exhibition, we will introduce the work of Domiya carpenter ridge beams with powerful models and drawings, as well as valuable materials that you cannot usually see, such as used tools and recorded images. We hope that you will come and feel the charm of this event on your skin.

This exhibition will be held to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the opening of Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum, starting in Tokyo, Sapporo, Kobe and Nagoya.
