What is inherited from time to time

Tsunekazu Nishioka, the head of the Domiya carpenter (provided by the Rikikosha)

Domiya's carpenter ridge that builds temples and shrines that can withstand hundreds of years of snow and snow by uniting craftsmen with well-trained skills and hearts.

Inheriting the millennium tradition, holding together organizations, and confronting difficult business with conviction seems attractive to us living in a volatile modern society.

In this exhibition, we will introduce the work of Domiya carpenter ridge beams with powerful models and drawings, as well as valuable materials that you can not usually see, such as used tools and recorded videos. We hope that you will take this opportunity to come and feel the charm of it on your skin.

This exhibition marks the 25th anniversary of the opening of Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum, starting in Tokyo, Sapporo, Kobe, and Nagoya.
