"Hakokan magistrate's office revived in Goryokaku - How was the restoration proceed? -」

This video shows the progress of the restoration of the Hako Tachi magistrate's office to the completion of the restoration work. I will explain miyadaiku's technology and traditional techniques such as Sakan plasterers, paint, roofing, fittings and tatami mats. We will talk about the historical background of Goryokaku and Hakodate magistrate's office, the difficulties of construction work in special historic sites, and how the restoration work was designed.

Born in Takigawa City, Hokkaido in 1949. Joined Takenaka Corporation in 1973, worked at the head office for one year, and was assigned to the Hokkaido branch. In charge of the construction of about 25 new buildings, including the Asahikawa Dai-ichi Life Building, Suskino Green Hotel, Asahi Shimbun Hokkaido Branch, and Hakodate Hotel Acacia.
