"Tour the work of Tsunekazu Nishioka ridge"

Tsunekazu Nishioka ridge, who said, "There is a demon at Horyu-ji Temple." We will explore the architecture of Nishioka, famous as the last miyadaiku, along with Ogawa, the only inner apprentice of Nishioka. It is a unique opportunity to hear stories and behind-the-scenes stories that can only be heard by Ogawa ridge that actually worked with Nishioka ridge beams on site. Please join us.

Profile
Born in Tochigi Prefecture in 1947. When I was a high school student, I was impressed by Horyuji Temple I saw on a school trip and decided to become a Domiya carpenter. At the age of 21, he became the only inner apprentice of Tsunekazu Nishioka. three-storied pagoda Horin-ji Temple and the reconstruction of the Yakushi Teranishi Tower and Kondo. In 1977, he established a temple and shrine building company "Ririkosha" with his own apprenticeship system. In 2003, he was selected as a "modern master craftsman". Received the Medal with Yellow Ribbon in 2009. He has authored many books such as "The Heart of Trees <Lear>", "The Unparalleled Assembling Woods", and "Mounyo-Telling Techniques and Raising People".
