Axe [ono]

Sir

The mat is used to attach the top surface of the member. It is also used for rough work such as cutting timber into square timber, sitting on hut beams, and rough cutting of gables, and on floor pillars, the hanging traces are left decoratively.

To use it, hold the handle butt with both hands and hit the blade toward you. It is said that it is better to use it as if it were broken along the grain, and to wear it thin and long at the finishing stage. The blades of the mat are mainly two blades, with the side of the blade almost symmetrical to the center line of the sheep, and one side with one side facing one side.

The blade width is generally about 3 to 3 and 5 minutes. Like the axe, the preferred form differs slightly depending on the region used. We mainly use Enge trees for the handle. Tie it with a wisteria zuru in Tachiki to make it a bent object, cut it long and dry it according to the time. The handle is so that the blade can enter (kogomu) slightly inside the handle from the viewpoint of the structure. This is to ensure that the hanging surface and the cut blade surface are parallel when knocked down, and the method of sling to the sheep is adjusted according to the height of the user's height and the height of the handle mountain.
