Hammer [tsuchi]

Tsuchi

1 Genno

Genno is mainly used to hit chisels and nails. In addition to both mouths, which have the same size surface in both small mouths, there are boatmen and one-sided genno, which have one side of the head pointed and small surfaces.

The small mouth of both mouths is flat on one side and slightly bulge on the other. A flat surface is used for chisel tapping and nailing. The bulge surface is called a wooden killer surface and is used to slap the surface of wood. The installation of pillars and the mounting of the crown of the chisel pattern can be easily done by hitting the tree and creating a slight gap. Also, when nailing the nail to the end at the end, do it with a woodcut surface so as not to damage the surface of the material with a small corner.

The size of the gennostic is expressed by weight. Even today, it is made with a weight corresponding to momme. The gennostic used mainly for rough work is 100 momme (375g). We mainly use oaks for the handle. The hammer is used to hit nails. In addition to the pre-cut hammer, there are lower belly hammers and four quarter hammers in order. The lower belly hammer is made of short head and is used when nailing on narrow areas such as corners.
