1.Gong

Gagari, one-sided blade, vertical grinding

There are two types: one with a diagonal pattern and one with a straight pattern. The former is mainly used for Owari of wood, and the latter is mainly used for Kowari. 8 inch to 3 inch is normal.

Hikirikiri (one blade) / horizontal grinding

It is also called 'Kiri.' Used for horizontal grinding. 8 inch to 3 inch is normal.

3.Double blade saw

Ryoba-no-ko/double blades

A double saw with vertical and horizontal saw blades on both sides of the saw blade. It spread nationwide since the Meiji 30s. 8 inch to 2 inch is normal.

4.Hole grinding blade saw

Anabiki Ryobanoko / Double blade

Use it for rough work. For horizontal grinding, Ibarame has the same function as a hole saw. Shaku to 3 sun is normal.
