Photoreport:sapporo Venue

 

The Sapporo venue opened on September 15 (Thursday).
The venue is the JR Tower Planetis Hall on the 11th floor of Esther, a station building at JR Sapporo Station.
The museum is open from 11:00 to 19:00 (entrance is until 18:30) and is open 7 days a week during the exhibition. Please come by all means, as it is easier to drop in on holidays or after work.

The venue is just in front of the elevator on the 11th floor.
To prevent COVID-19 infection, all visitors are asked to fill in the contact information and measure the temperature on the spot. You can download the contact form from the Kigumi Exhibition website, so it will be smooth if you prepare it in advance.

When you enter the venue, you will be overwhelmed by powerful large models such as the 1/2.5 scale Kintai-kyo Bridge model and the four-sided model.

Please see the wisdom and ingenuity of the craftsman hidden inside the wooden group that you do not usually see. At the venue, you can see the steps to be organized while understanding CG images.

After seeing and learning, you can actually experience the mechanism with your hands. We also introduce examples that have evolved into a puzzle, so please enjoy it together.

In addition to the exhibits, joints are used in hiding. The exhibition stand is also devised, so I hope you can see the details.

Wood Gumi is used in various places besides architecture. In this exhibition, we introduce finger objects and Kumiko work as particularly delicate examples.

At the Sapporo venue, examples of attempts to make use of trees from the Hokkaido Timber Industry Cooperative Association and Takenaka Corporation are jointly exhibited. Please take a look at it.
