On July 18 (Saturday), the Kigumi Exhibition Hiroshima venue opened.
This is the first time we have held a tour exhibition in Hiroshima.
The venue is adjacent to CLiP HIROSHIMA (Clip Hiroshima) and Higashisenda Park (the site of a vast site).
When you enter the building of Clip Hiroshima, the exhibition of "Kigumi" begins right on your left hand.
It is a spacious and bright space surrounded by glass on three sides with high ceilings.
In the venue, you can also see an exhibition on local timber from the Hiroshima Prefectural Timber Association.
Entrance of gallery space
At the entrance, you can see a joint display, and you can see a model of Kintai-kyo Bridge in the back of the front.
Disassembled Shiho-sashi Exhibition near the entrance seen in front of the model
It is a wooden structure and four-sided model used for the main pillars of private houses. Please enjoy the full-scale power.
Exhibition view from Enkaku-ji Temple Shariden Interlocking Bracket Complex Full Scale Model
Enkaku-ji Temple Shariden is a national treasure temple built in Kamakura. The assembled structure consisting of a total of 66 members supporting the eaves is displayed in a decomposed form. In addition, you can see how these are assembled in CG.
Strange Joints, Hands on
I would like to introduce the wonders of the wood group. At the hands-on corner, you can actually experience decomposition and assembly.
Kumiko Folding Screen
Trees are assembled without using any hardware or paint, and the mountains of Shinshu are expressed. Please take a look at the techniques of Kumiko craftsmen representing Japan at the venue.
Kintai-kyo Bridge (Kintaikyo Bridge)
A 2.5-fifth model of Kintai-kyo Bridge in Iwakuni City is by Mr. Kumeji Ebizaki, who replaced the Heisei era.
You can see the mechanism of the arch structure made of wood, which is rare in the world.
Guitard (French eaves) and French stand (Guitarde and Trestle)
This section introduces a wooden group that combines curved surface components found in traditional Western wooden architectures.
The right hand is a corner where you can see images of various craftsmen's techniques such as architecture and Kumiko.
Panoramic view from 2nd floor
Please take a look in a large space. The right (flooring part) is an exhibition of the Hiroshima Wood Association.
The "Kigumi Exhibition" oversized panel that can be seen through glass from the front road is a landmark.
A wooden group that is completely invisible from the outside when completed, such as buildings and crafts. Please enjoy the mysterious world of the beautiful wooden group at the venue with the refreshing scent of wood!
