"Unmatched Assembling Woods"

The five-storied pagoda of Horyuji Temple and the three-storied pagoda of Yakushi-ji Temple (East Pagoda) still stand strong on the earth after 1300 years. However, in the interior, irregular and habitable trees are combined vertically and horizontally, and traces of old craftsmen struggled with trees remain everywhere. Strong construction can be achieved by successfully combining irregular trees. The same is true for people, and by nurturing them in irregularities and combining their habits well, great results can be achieved. Mr. Mitsuo Ogawa will talk about the essence of this project.
