Outline of the exhibition

New chair exhibition "The One-Chair Exhibition" by Hyogo woodworkers. This special exhibition, which is celebrating its 14th anniversary, welcomes Yuichi Hamada, who makes world-class chairs on a 1/5 scale, and introduces a number of miniature chairs that are elaborately reproduced in detail and their production processes.
Hans J. Wegner, a master of Scandinavian chair design, said, "This is not a model. The background of the small chair making by Mr. Hamada, who said that it is real, is full of various ideas, from the place of drawing up the drawing to the reproduction.
The secret of the design that resides in a masterpiece chair that says, "I know for the first time by making it." "Chair design" is spoken through the eyes and hands of the creator, along with the new chairs of Hyogo woodworkers. Go behind the scenes of creation.

Born in 1952. Born in Osaka Prefecture.
After graduating from high school, he worked for a furniture manufacturer that specializes in custom-made furniture from Japanese furniture to Western furniture. After that, at the design office, which develops chairs for employment, I made a 1/5 model at the time of presentation, and started making miniatures. 1985 Established Hamada Kobo. In addition to making furniture in general, we will continue to make masterpiece chairs of 1/5 models of about 300 legs to this day. He currently lives in Yonehara City, Shiga Prefecture.

With Yuichi Hamada at the venue, we will explore the secrets of a masterpiece chair design with specific ways to make, such as episodes when visiting Hans J. Wegner's residence in Denmark, and knowledge gained during the miniature chair production process.
