Outline of the exhibition

Chocolate, cookies, candy and cake. Western confectionery brought from the West by Civilization and enlightenment became familiar to Japanese people after 150 years. In recent years, the work of the craftsman patissier who makes the Western confectionery has become a hot topic, but it is not well known that the tools they use have a profound history and the charm of modeling.
There are various variations of Western confectionery making tools depending on the type. Of particular note is the "type" that determines the overall shape of confectionery. You will never get tired of seeing the beautiful and cute shapes, such as old wooden molds carved with historical figures and molds for creating beautiful luster.
In this exhibition, valuable materials centered on molds will be exhibited from the collection of confectionery equipment from all over Europe collected by the Edelweiss Museum over many years. At the same time, we will also introduce gorgeous confectionery containers that are elaborately decorated and the finest craft confectionery "Pyestmonte" created by modern patissier.
Please enjoy the depth of the culture of confectionery making that is firmly rooted in European history through a number of confectionery tools suitable for calling it an artwork.
