Overview of the Exhibition

Blessed with good materials nurtured by the clear four seasons and a moist climate, Japan's wood and bamboo crafts have developed as a unique craft that is technically and artistically excellent. In this exhibition, while inheriting this tradition, we solicited woodwork and bamboo crafts from all over the country based on today's life, carefully selected selected works, 60 works of important intangible cultural property holders (living national treasures) and 1 work One piece will be exhibited in one hall.

■Workshop "Small plate made with molding"
The solid board is hollowed out with a round chisel, and a small plate of hollowing (cutting) is made by cutting it with a bean plane.
※Beginner woodworking experience is required to use hand tools. If you have any useful tools, please bring them with you.
