Overview of the Exhibition

Blessed with good materials due to clear four seasons and a moist climate, Japan's wood and bamboo crafts have developed as a unique Japanese craft with excellent technical and artistic excellence. In this exhibition, while inheriting this tradition, works that match today's life will be recruited from all over the country, and carefully selected selected works, 73 important intangible cultural property holders (living national treasures) and one leftover will be exhibited in one hall .

Workshop "Broach of parquet"
We make original brooches that make use of the characteristics of the material using precious trees with various colors and textures and rainbow-colored raden (blue shells, etc.). Choose and design materials according to the color tone of your favorite clothes.

Workshop "Confectionery at the bottom of the raft"
Use a tool dedicated to bamboo higo, a raft net with bamboo higo and tiger bamboo that you have created yourself, wrap the edge with a stower, and make a confectionery store .

"Technology and Heart" Seminar [93] "Enjoy of Wood and Bamboo Crafts"
Japan has geographical conditions suitable for the growth of trees, blessed with many tree species, and since ancient times we have used this wood and bamboo to create crafts that enrich our lives. First of all, we will learn about the characteristics of each tree species and talk about the charm of wood and bamboo crafts that you want to incorporate into your daily life.
