Overview of the Exhibition In Finland, a country of forest, trees are an integral part of everyday life. Finnish design was born from the harmony of nature, simple, simple, element, beauty and functionality in the daily lives of people for generations. Based in the village of Physicals, Nikari is a company characterized by a design that utilizes the skills of skilled craftsmen in furniture production, and is said to be a pioneer in modern Finnish culture. Unique ideas that combine tradition and innovation attracted many young talents and became the most prominent figure in modern Finnish design. In this exhibition, artists who live and work in the village of Physicals and their works will also be exhibited. The history of physicals, a craft village that grew up with nicalym. I would like to introduce the story.

 Related events ①Finnish Traditional Musical Instrument Cantere Concert
Cantere, a Finnish folk instrument with an old history that appears in the epic poem "Carewara". It is a simple string instrument with only strings on a wooden body, and there are various sizes from 5-string cantele to concert cantele. Please enjoy the calm sound that can harmonize with nature.

②Workshop Making Children's Chairs (twice in total)
The chair used in the first floor hall of Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum is a representative work of Cali Viltanen, founder of Nicari Corporation, but in consideration of the deformation of trees due to differences in the environment, Mr. Nagano, a disciple, made it in Japan. In this workshop, we will make this chair for children.

③"Technology and Mind" Seminar [85] Living with Trees - Furniture in North Europe
Taking advantage of the goodness of wood, it has a completed functional beauty that feels artistic in a lean form composed of lines and surfaces derived from precise calculations. This seminar is talked about by Cali Viltanen, the founder of Nikari, a representative of Scandinavian furniture. We will talk about the craftsmen and modern Finnish design gathered in the village of Physcals, the home of nicalus, from a bird's-eye view of North Europe as a whole.
