Outline of the exhibition | Japan's world-class animation culture. How has traditional Japanese architecture been depicted in it? Studio Ghibli's animation works will feature many Japanese architectures as a stage for dramas. In this exhibition, we will take up Japanese architecture that appears in "My Neighbor Totoro", "Princess Mononoke" and "Sento Chihiro's Shingakushi" from "Ghibli Three-dimensional Building Exhibition", which the main building was involved in as an exhibition cooperation, and introduce it under the supervision of architectural historian Terunobu Fujimori. In addition to releasing production materials (copying) such as background paintings, art boards, and art settings related to the building that appears in the work, some of the Kusakabe family residences appearing in "My Neighbor Totoro" are expressed in three dimensions, and the source of the design is touched.
