The splendid sculpture (Ranma) of Nagoya Castle. We will talk to Inami Sculpture Traditional Craftsman who worked on the restoration about the basic knowledge of the sculpture column, the background of the restoration, the production process, hardship stories, and highlights. In addition, a demonstration will be held.
*This lecture is a pre-event of "Sculpture Inami Sculpture Story" exhibition.

Iwakura Ryosen
Born in the former Inamimachi in 1952. He studied under his father, Kanzai Iwakura. He specializes in deep, basket carving, and fine sculptures, and produces shrines and temples, stall sculptures, ranma, figurine sculptures, etc. Nitten, a former member of the Association of Contemporary Crafts Artists, former president of the Inami Sculpture Cooperative, and former chairman of the Inami Sculpture Traditional Crafts Association.
